PTA
Welcome to the PTA section of the school website.
St Mary’s and St Benedict’s PTA would like to extend a warm welcome to all new parents and carers and to say a big thanks to all those who already support our work.
The PTA is a voluntary committee of parents and staff, and we work together to raise funding for events, resources and equipment that cannot be financed from the school budget. In the last year we have put on a variety of fundraising events including discos, raffles and a Fun Day.
However the PTA isn’t just a money making mechanism. Involvement in the PTA fosters involvement in the life of the school and enhances the environment for your child.
Our PTA is a social base for parents to get to know each other and offer support to each other as our children settle into school. We hold very informal meetings every few months, usually on a Friday after assembly. Anyone with young children is more than welcome to bring them along. We welcome new attendees with open arms and are keen to hear your ideas. Even if you can’t attend the meetings you can still support us by helping out at some of the events throughout the year, or letting us know your ideas.
Details of forthcoming meetings and events will always be included in the school newsletter, so please look out for the details.
